The Birds: This project entailed using a color harmony. I chose complementary colors (orange and blue). Created with chalk pastels. Total size is 18"x24" on tinted charcoal paper paper. Worktime: 5 hours.

Chicago Architecture: Created with many different material to experiment with textures. Orginal picture was taken downtown Chicago. Worktime: 4 hours.

The Seasons: Drawn using Prismacolor color pencils. Each square (3"x3") is colored in a color harmony (complementary colors and warm analogous colors) showing the 4 seasons. Worktime: 16 hours.

Another World: Drawn using pen and ink. The concept is a surreal world with trees growing through the ground; steps that lead you through the picture on the wall. The overall composition is well balanced and is rich in texture. Paper size is 14"x17" on Bristol board. Worktime: 8 hours.

Monochromatic RED: Created using magazine clippings. A monochromatic collage of the color red. Overall I think it turned out pretty good. I like the hands reaching for everything and the fact that the hands are the same size of real hands gives a nice illusion with the viewer. Paper size is 14"x14" on Bristol board. Worktime: 5 hours.

Living Surreal: Drawn using pencils. I love the idea that it's a drawing of a drawing of a drawing. Overall it has a very surreal feel with the grass on the ground and the trees that come out of the drawings on the walls. Paper size is 14"x17" on Bristol board. Worktime: 14 hours.

Confusion: A figure/ground composition. The idea is that when you look at the design you can't tell what tone is glued onto the other. Paper size is 14"x17" on Bristol board. Worktime: 2 hours.

Path of LIFE: Drew/composed this for my 2d design studio class. We were given a copy of a page from a story and we had to come up with our own poem using those words. After writing the poem then we had to use that page (with the original story on it) and come up with a design to hide those words. Drawn using Pencils, Sharpie, crayon, markers, Acrylic paint. Worktime: 10 hours.
